Yes, Elevate Academy North is a free, public charter school.

The School’s primary attendance area shall be used for the purposes of determining applicability of this enrollment preference category. The School’s primary attendance areas is as follows: From Hwy 41/W. Prairie Ave. westbound to N. Chase Rd. Southbound on N Chase Rd, past W. Seltice Way, southbound on N. Spokane St. to E. Third Ave. Eastbound on E. Third Ave. to N. Greensferry Way, northbound to E. Seltice Way. Eastbound on E. Seltice Way to Hwy 95. Northbound on Hwy 95 to W. Hayden Ave. Westbound on W. Hayden Ave. to N Atlas Rd., southbound on N. Atlas Rd. to W. Prairie Ave. and westbound to Hwy 41.

For the 2022-23 school year, we will have 48 students in each of the grades 6th-10th. We believe in small classroom settings and will teach a 17:1 student ratio.

We believe every student is a diverse learner and we commit to meeting each child where they are at. We will full-time director of Special Education, as well as a full-time Special Education Instructional Assistant. We look forward to partnering with families to learn how we can best support your child. Our philosophy is “child-first” and believe that our decisions and approach to special education should always have the best interest of the child at the core.

We offer free transportation within our primary attendance zone. For families living outside of our primary attendance zone, students may still take the bus if they can be transported to the nearest available bus stop. Students that have a car and are old enough to drive will be able to drive to school.

We commit to offering fresh, healthy meals for both breakfast and lunch and will address and accommodate any allergy concerns or needs.

Elevate Academy North is a school designed to support middle and high school students who are not finding success in their current educational setting. Elevate Academy North will follow the State of Idaho’s At-Risk criteria.

Idaho State Department of Education At Risk Criteria:

An at-risk youth is any secondary student grade sixth through twelve (6-12), who meets any three (3) of the following criteria, Subsections (a) through (f), or any one of criteria in Subsections (g) through (m).

a) Has repeated at least one grade.

b) Has absenteeism that is greater than ten percent during the preceding semester.

c) Has an overall grade point average that is less than 1.5 (4.0 scale) prior to enrolling in an alternative secondary program.

d) Has failed one or more academic subjects in the past year.

e) Is two or more semester credits per year behind the rate required to graduate or for grade promotion.

f) Has attended three (3) or more schools within the previous two (2) years, not including dual enrollment.

g) Has a documented or pattern of substance abuse behavior.

h) Is pregnant or a parent.

i) Is an emancipated or unaccompanied youth.

j) Is a previous dropout.

k) Has serious personal, emotional, or medical issue(s).

l) Has a court or agency referral.

m) Demonstrates behavior that is detrimental to their academic progress
